There are five domains in the Connecticut’s Common Core of Teaching (CCT). The CCT is developed to try and identify the knowledge, skills, and dispositions employed by exemplar teachers. In a nutshell, this is supposed to represent best practices of teaching.
The modules are: 1) Classroom Environment, Student Engagement and Commitment to Learning; 2) Planning for Active Learning; 3) Instruction for Active Learning; 4) Assessment for Learning; and 5) Professional Responsibilities and Teacher Leadership. To view the CCT as presented by the State of CT, please visit this website.
